One of the most profound experiences we have had in our acute grief journey were the four days we spent earlier this summer at Faith’s Lodge in northern Wisconsin.  As their mission states, the opportunity to honor Bryce while allowing the opportunity to find some hope for a more peaceful future was a moving and serene experience. Nestled in a beautiful setting, the lodge itself was fantastic but the real magic happened in the thoughtfully planned programming, therapeutic group sessions and most importantly, the lifelong friends we created memories with. Surprisingly laughing more than crying, connecting with others experiencing similar trauma was a feeling we will never forget.

It's to this end we made the decision to provide some of the foundation’s funding to this wonderful place with the hope to give back to others seeking the same experience in their own journeys. The choices made to sponsor part of the retreats programming as well as a physical space were deeply personal based on our own visit. Both the professional chef experience as well as the dining room were activities and areas that we undeniably discovered peace, love, and fellowship.

Our journey will last until we see Bryce again but it’s the peace and strength gained through these experiences and in the way we tell our story of how we overcame the most unimaginable circumstances that we hope become someone else’s playbook to do the same……
